William (aka Bill) received his Master’s degree in Psychology from New York University. He has over 30 years clinical experience in mental health and substance abuse with certifications regarding the latter held consistently over that period from OASAS (NYS Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services) and FCB (Florida Certification Board- Masters Certified Addiction Professional). He also has held certifications in compulsive gambling counseling nationally and through the states of NY and NJ and has done private therapy with people struggling with addictions and co-occurring disorders. Bill has worked in inpatient, emergency and outpatient settings in the mental health field and in detoxification, residential rehabilitation and outpatient settings in the substance abuse field and has supervised co-occurring disorder programs, homeless/housing services and a family shelter in a large not-for-profit agency in New York City before relocating to Florida over four years ago. Since relocating, Bill has worked as a clinician in the Pasco County Drug Court system and as a rehabilitation and detox therapist in a hospital-based program before joining the treatment team at Rockland Treatment Center. He has experience treating individuals, groups, couples, and families in the following areas:
